This chat assistant ("the Assistant") is operated by Desert Edge Pools LLC ("Desert Edge Pools", "we", "us") for visitors to our website, with technical operation provided by Deep End Leads, our service provider. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. The Assistant is automated

The chat assistant is automated software (an AI assistant). It may be reviewed and answered by a human team member at any time; when a human takes over, messages are identified as coming from the team. Conversations may be used to book appointments and follow up on your request.

2. What we collect

• Conversation content, the messages you type in the chat.
• Contact information you provide, name, email address, and/or phone number.
• Project information you provide, property address or location, project type, budget range, and timeline.
• Technical data, a random visitor identifier stored in your browser's local storage to continue your conversation across visits. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

3. How we use it

We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry, qualify and schedule your free design consultation, send you confirmations and follow-ups about your request, and improve the Assistant's responses. We do not sell your personal information.

4. AI and service providers

Chat messages are processed by automated AI services (including OpenRouter and its model providers) to generate replies, and by Resend to deliver confirmations. These providers process information on our behalf. Your inquiry details are shared with Desert Edge Pools's sales team so we can contact you about your project.

5. Retention

Chat records and contact details are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry and follow up on your project, and are automatically deleted after 180 days of inactivity, unless a longer period is required by law or you ask us to delete them sooner.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location (including under California and other state privacy laws, and the GDPR if applicable), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and you may opt out of further contact at any time. 7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls on conversation records. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please do not send sensitive information (such as payment details) through the chat.
